Per Øhrgaard Denmark

Dr. Per Øhrgaard, born 1944, professor of German literature at the University of Copenhagen since 1980. President of Danish PEN from 1983-90. Has written books and articles on German and Danish literature, on German culture and politics, and has translated numerous books from German. He has received numerous awards, including the Goethe-Medall 1991, Henrik-Steffens-Preis 2001, and Friedrich-Gundolf-Preis 2003.
